Day shift: 5x8s, Monday to Friday, 6:30–15:00
Call required
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
General surgery experience
Orthopedic surgery experience
Neurosurgery experience
ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) surgery experience
Orthopedics experience
Neurology experience
NURSYS Verification
Background Check
10-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start
EPLS/GSA/SAM within 30 days of start
HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
Texas DPS Criminal History Search within 30 days prior to start
Texas Employee Misconduct Registry Results within 30 days of start
Texas DADS Employability Status Check within 30 days prior to start

Very travel-friendly hospital with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. It is a very busy, fast-paced facility, so there is plenty of opportunity to stay busy and gain experience. The charge nurses are always willing to help, and the staff is friendly, supportive, and helpful. They use Cerner for charting.
