Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical experience for a day-shift assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room setting supporting general, ambulatory, and trauma surgical cases
• Cases include ortho, neuro, trauma, ENT, and general surgery procedures
• Pediatric surgical experience preferred
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday
• On-call responsibilities required
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, and ENT procedures preferred
• Familiarity with OR equipment such as electrosurgical units, cell saver, and fiber optic light sources

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties and procedures
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, with local candidates not accepted
• Holiday coverage expected
• RTO must be submitted with candidate consideration
• Pending license accepted with consideration, but must be active before start
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
