Surgical Technician (Certified Surgical Technologist)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend shift
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Additional Requirement: Must be willing to float to West Des Moines if needed
On-Call: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification issued by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Professional and Compliance Requirements

• Resume and skills checklist (within the last year)
• Two professional references
• Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, code of conduct, and integrity/audit services forms
• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) dated within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) checks dated within 30 days
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days
• Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registry checks (within 30 days)
• System access form completed and uploaded one week before start
• Standard I-9 verification completed by agency
• OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days

Additional Notes

• Agency will provide the skills checklist for clinical contractors
• No on-call duties required
• Must be willing to float to a nearby location if needed
