Job Opportunity: MedSurg / PCU Nurse - Night Shift

Location

• Newport, Vermont
• Small town near the Canadian border, part of the Northeast Kingdom
• Area offers outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
• Limited public transportation; personal transportation strongly recommended

Position Details

• Employment Type: Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift (7 PM to 7 AM), including every other weekend rotation
• Hours per week: 36
• Facility size: 25-bed critical access hospital
• Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
• Floating required to other units as needed (Emergency Department, Mother/Child Health)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Minimum 5 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including within the last year
• MedSurg and Telemetry experience
• Experience in charge nurse roles
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
