<h2>Shift Information</h2>
Full-time, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with occasional call until 7:00 PM. No overnight call or weekend shifts required.

<h2>Position Overview</h2>
This role is responsible for performing surgical technician functions in the surgical area and providing patient care in alignment with established hospital and departmental standards and policies.

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP.</li>
 <li>BCLS certification required.</li>
 <li>Experience is preferred but not mandatory.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Health and Employment Requirements</h2>
Prior to starting in the position, the following items must be submitted:
<ul>
 <li>Resume</li>
 <li>Two recent employment references</li>
 <li>Online verification of licensure or certification, including expiration date and any disciplinary actions, within 30 days of start date</li>
 <li>BLS certification through the American Heart Association (copy of both sides of the card)</li>
 <li>Immunizations, including:
 <ul>
 <li>MMR (Mumps, Rubeola &amp; Rubella) either 2 doses or Positive Titers</li>
 <li>Varicella - positive titer or 2 Varicella Vaccines</li>
 <li>Polio</li>
 <li>Hepatitis B Series, titer, or signed declination</li>
 <li>Current TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) within the last 10 years</li>
 <li>Flu vaccination required during Flu Season</li>
 </ul>
 </li>
 <li>Negative 2-step Mantoux test within 1 year of start or QuantiFERON Gold. If positive, proof of positive result and chest X-ray results are required.</li>
 <li>Proof of physical examination within 1 year of start date</li>
 <li>10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 month of start date</li>
 <li>Respiratory Fit Test within 1 year of start date (can be provided if not previously available)</li>
 <li>Criminal background check from all states where licensed or lived/ worked in the past 7 years within 30 days of start date</li>
 <li>National and/or State Sex Offender Registry check</li>
 <li>GSA(EPLS) Sam.gov check within 30 days of start date</li>
 <li>OIG check within 30 days of start date</li>
 <li>Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse &amp; Dependent Adult Abuse)</li>
 <li>Completion of CareLearning education modules, including Mandatory Reporter training, if not already certified, to be completed prior to start.</li>
</ul>
