Travel contract for an experienced Skilled Nursing RN
Contract length: 13 weeks
Location: Glendale, California
Unit/Department: LTC/Skilled Nursing
Type of facility: Skilled Nursing Unit as part of an acute hospital
Rooms: Semi-private rooms

Required Qualifications

Active BLS
CA License
2 full years of experience
Prior SNF or Subacute experience
BLS for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

Preferred Certifications

ACLS (AHA)
NIHSS - AHA or APEX

Schedule

12 hour day shifts
Every other weekend
Holidays required
No self-scheduling
No block scheduling
First to float

Acute Rehab
MedSurg/Tele

Unit Details

EMR: Cerner
RN ratio: 5:1
No titratable drips
No tele monitors
RN attendance at team conferences is required
House Supervisor available
Physician available after hours
Interdisciplinary team includes PT/OT/SLP, Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab, Case Managers, Social Workers, and Dieticians
RT support is available for oxygen therapy/equipment, including Cpap, Bipap, and High Flow
Pharmacy is on-site with a medication dispensing system
Unit-specific orientation is provided
PAPR and N95 are used

Pulmonary diagnoses requiring oxygen
Alzheimer's
Dementia
