Skilled Nursing RN
Overview
- Travel contract for an experienced Skilled Nursing RN
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Location: Glendale, California
- Unit/Department: LTC/Skilled Nursing
- Type of facility: Skilled Nursing Unit as part of an acute hospital
- Rooms: Semi-private rooms
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS
- CA License
- 2 full years of experience
- Prior SNF or Subacute experience
- BLS for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Preferred Certifications
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS - AHA or APEX
Schedule
- 12 hour day shifts
- Every other weekend
- Holidays required
- No self-scheduling
- No block scheduling
- First to float
Float Scope
- Acute Rehab
- MedSurg/Tele
Unit Details
- EMR: Cerner
- RN ratio: 5:1
- No titratable drips
- No tele monitors
- RN attendance at team conferences is required
- House Supervisor available
- Physician available after hours
- Interdisciplinary team includes PT/OT/SLP, Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab, Case Managers, Social Workers, and Dieticians
- RT support is available for oxygen therapy/equipment, including Cpap, Bipap, and High Flow
- Pharmacy is on-site with a medication dispensing system
- Unit-specific orientation is provided
- PAPR and N95 are used
Common Patient Population
- Pulmonary diagnoses requiring oxygen
- Alzheimer's
- Dementia
