Overview

• Travel RN role in the Emergency Dept at North Channel FSED.
• Unit has 22 beds.
• Patient ratio is 1:4.
• Hours per week: 36.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• CPI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC
• NRP

Unit Details

• Staffed with day, mid, and night shifts.
• Typical procedures include IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedations, and splinting.
• Equipment includes splinting supplies, defibrillator, Hamilton Vent, Welch Alyn, and bedside cardiac monitoring.
• EMR: Meditech Magic transitioning to Meditech Expanse 8/13.

Floating

• May float to Fairmont FSED if needed.

Schedule Notes

• Weekends as needed or every other, whichever is preferred.
• No on-call.
