Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Endoscopy
Number of Beds: 2-3
Staff: 1-2 RNs and 1-2 Techs per shift
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 2 RNs, 1-2 Techs
- Night Shift: Call coverage
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Equipment: Olympus
EMR System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience within the last year
BLS certification
ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Meditech EMR
High-Level Disinfection (HLD) / Scope Reprocessing experience

Typical Procedures

EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
Colonoscopy
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
PEG tube placement
Bronchoscopy
EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound)

Work Environment & Culture

Fast-paced, adaptable, and team-oriented unit
Strong communication with physicians and anesthesia team required
Detail-oriented and patient-focused with strong bedside manner

Additional Information

Floating area includes Corpus Christi Medical Center-Bay Area
Dress code: Hospital-provided and laundered scrubs
Weekend and On-call Requirements:
- Overnight call for 2 weeks per month
- Includes 2 full weekends per month (variable schedule)
