Weekly Hours: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Unit Information

• Department: Emergency Department
• Trauma Level: Level III
• Beds: 37 total (4 Trauma Bays, 7 Fast Track Rooms, 26 Beds)
• Patient Population: All ages (Pediatrics to Geriatrics)
• Patient Ratios: 1:3 and 1:4
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: MediTech
• Possibility to float to Overflow unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Additional Information

• Weekly orientations held on Mondays
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Supervision by Nurse Manager / Director

• Experience with a diverse patient population across all age groups is essential.
• Candidates should be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and flexible to float as needed.
