Position Overview
- Interim Director of Pharmacy Services for a 97-bed hospital inpatient pharmacy department
- Responsible for maintaining daily pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
- Leading a team of 9 full-time and 2 part-time pharmacy staff; all permanent employees
- Pharmacy techs are certified pharmacy technicians (CPhT)
- Uses Omnicell equipment and Meditech Client Server 5.67 EHR system
- Average employee engagement scores
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Virginia
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in Director roles
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance with DEA and Virginia Board of Pharmacy requirements
- Prepare for The Joint Commission (TJC) survey readiness
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
