Unit Information

Surgical Services, 1st Floor
Unit beds: 18
Staff on unit: 12 (with ICU/ER backgrounds)
Patient ratio: 1:2
Equipment: GE monitors
EMR systems: Pyxis, Meditech

Work Schedule

Day shift: 12-hour shifts, typically 7 AM–7 PM or 9:30 AM–10 PM
Night shift: On-call after 10 PM
Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff

Required Qualifications

MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year

Preferred Candidate Attributes

ICU experience
Ventilator and GTT (gastric tube) skills
Flexible and reliable
Strong communication skills
Team player

Pros

Cath Lab is REALLY traveler-friendly, they are very accommodating to scheduling requests, stays pretty busy except in summertime because the snowbirds go back up north. There are a few "strong" personalities that can make your days suck if you get on their bad side, but everyone else is pretty great. I extended with no regrets.
