- Unit Size: 24 beds
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
- Typical Procedures: Occasional pelvic exams, echo, thoracentesis
- EMR System: Cerner
- Dress Code:
- RNs: Navy, white, or combination of both
- CNAs: Galaxy Blue
- Floating: Rarely floats; may float to other med-surg units
- Weekends/On Call: Rare call; staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule
- Team Culture: Team players, willing to learn
Requirements
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License (RN)
- Certifications: BLS required; Chemo Certification preferred but not required
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in RN specialty
