Position Details

Unit Information

• Unit: Progressive Care Neuro Trauma
• Number of Beds: 23
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 6-7 RNs, 2 Aides
  • Night Shift: 6-7 RNs, 2 Aides
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Equipment: Bedside monitors, End tidal O2 monitoring, high flow, chronic vents, Subdural drains
• EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills & Experience

• Must Have:

  • Telemetry
  • Step-down experience
• Preferred:

  • Neuro experience
  • Trauma experience
• Typical Procedures:

  • Chest tubes
  • EEGs

Certifications & Licenses

• Required: ACLS, BLS
• Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• License: Registered Nurse License (valid in New Hampshire)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the RN specialty

Work Environment

• Floating to all inpatient units including ICU and Emergency Department (ED)
• Dress Code: Professional scrubs, no specific color required
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
