Travel RN Opportunity – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Ottumwa, Iowa

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Profile

• Department: Acute Rehabilitation
• Number of Openings: 1
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 (candidate to specify preference)
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
• Equipment: Lift equipment available
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech

Requirements

• Licensure: Must have Iowa SING Background Check cleared (criminal and child abuse portions required)
• Background Checks: All county and state background checks must be fully cleared prior to start (no instant or statewide searches accepted)
• Certifications:

  • Mandatory Reporter Certification (Child and Adult)
  • BLS required
• Drug Test: 10-panel screening including opiates
• Immunizations/Titers: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB titers within last 12 months
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year acute care experience required
  • MedSurg experience accepted
  • Travel experience preferred but not required
• Float Requirements: May float to MedSurg as needed

• Neurological conditions
• Trauma
• Burns
• Gait training and strengthening
• Wound vac management
