Registered Nurse - Transplant Surgery (Travel)

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit Information

Department: Transplant Services (Abdominal - Liver, Kidney, & Pancreas)
Setting: Outpatient
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Staff: 60-70 RNs
Patient Ratios: Not specified
Work Type: Primarily desk work with computer skills required (MediTech, TransChart, PatientKeeper, Microsoft Office)
Typical Activities:
- Desk work and data collection
- Potential clinic days involving rooming and assessing patients
- WebEx meetings as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of transplant nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system

Preferred Qualifications

2 or more years of transplant experience
Experience with United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS)
Experience with Organ Procurement Organization (OPO)

Personality & Work Style

Flexibility in patient assignments (pre-transplant, waitlist, and post-transplant care)
Caring and compassionate demeanor, especially for complex psychosocial patient needs

Additional Information

Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs or business casual
No weekends or on-call required
No floating assignments
