Registered Nurse - Transplant Surgery (Travel)
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit Information
- Department: Transplant Services (Abdominal - Liver, Kidney, & Pancreas)
- Setting: Outpatient
- Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Staff: 60-70 RNs
- Patient Ratios: Not specified
- Work Type: Primarily desk work with computer skills required (MediTech, TransChart, PatientKeeper, Microsoft Office)
- Typical Activities:
- Desk work and data collection
- Potential clinic days involving rooming and assessing patients
- WebEx meetings as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of transplant nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of transplant experience
- Experience with United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS)
- Experience with Organ Procurement Organization (OPO)

- Flexibility in patient assignments (pre-transplant, waitlist, and post-transplant care)
- Caring and compassionate demeanor, especially for complex psychosocial patient needs
Additional Information
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs or business casual
- No weekends or on-call required
- No floating assignments
