Job info

Provide direct care to cardiovascular medical-surgical patients, including post-operative day one care for CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients.
Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
Utilize nursing process, current nursing trends, and technology to deliver patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Conduct hourly rounding on patients.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and reporting hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Fulfill all departmental competencies and participate in professional development.

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum of 3 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
