Job Summary

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.
• Uses the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinates care with the inter-professional team and delegates/oversees patient care tasks as appropriate.
• Participates in discharge planning, quality improvement activities, and unit-based activities.
• Focuses on holistic, patient-centered care in a healing environment.
