Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician (Travel)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a certified Interventional Radiology Technician for a travel assignment. The role involves working typical hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call responsibilities approximately 2 days during weekdays and every 3rd weekend (rotating holidays). Floating to nearby sites within 40 miles may be required based on department needs.

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• ARRT certification (preferred)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Wisconsin state license
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and meet address requirements)

Experience

• Minimum 1 year hospital experience with GE systems
• Higher years of specialty experience not specified beyond 1 year
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites
• Completion of Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) with minimum 80% score, updated yearly
• Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start, updated annually

Health & Safety Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or two doses of vaccine (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• TB Testing: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit Test: Required annually, preferred prior to start
• 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Health Statement or physical exam: Completed prior to first assignment and updated annually

Onboarding & Documentation

• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation
• Resume/Profile submission
• Two professional references required prior to first assignment
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days of assignment start
• EPLS check within 90 days of start
• Education verification within 90 days of start
• Employment verification for past 7 years
• Confirmation of assignment documentation
• Badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations)

Work Schedule & Additional Notes

• Typical shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Call: Approximately 2 weekdays and every 3rd weekend, with rotating holidays
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required
