Job Description
Work in an outpatient infusion center specializing in intravenous therapy and oncology treatments.
Administer treatments including:
- IV antibiotics, antifungals, steroids (e.g., Solumedrol)
- Blood and blood product transfusions
- Maintenance of central venous access devices and PICC line placement
- IV Immune Globulin therapy (IVIG), hydration therapy, IV/IM vitamins
- Care of intrathecal or implanted infusion pumps
- Iron infusions (Venofer, Injectafer)
- Teaching patients self-administration of medications (e.g., Humira, Lovenox, Hepatitis C treatments)
- Therapeutic phlebotomies
- Specialty medications for autoimmune and chronic conditions (e.g., Remicade, Simponi, Actemra, Stelara, Tysabri, Boniva, Epogen, Xolair, Entyvio, Radicava)
No call required for this assignment.
Overtime and holiday shifts paid at 1.25x.
Dress code: Personal scrubs of any solid color; no designs, cartoons, hoodies.
Non-billable orientation: 8 hours.
Cancellation policy: Facility may cancel up to 5 shifts during the 13-week contract with 2 hours’ notice.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license valid in New York with New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate (must be uploaded with profile).
- Minimum 2+ years current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion nursing.
- Oncology certifications required: Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
- Peripheral IV insertion experience required.
- Experience with ports, fistulas, and catheters required.
- EPIC electronic health record experience required (must be noted on submission).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Completion of verbal de-escalation training from approved programs (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) as part of onboarding.
- Must pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance (agency must be able to run entire panel).
Preferred Qualifications
- IV Certification.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

- Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year.
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.

- RN license (Nursys verification)
- BLS
- Oncology Certification (OCN)
- Chemo Certification
- ACLS
- De-escalation training proof
- Permanent address matching driver’s license/state ID (address will be validated).
Additional Notes
- COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not required.
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at profile upload; no more than 5 days allowed. RTO requests after submission will not be approved.
- Candidates with permanent addresses in the following New York counties are not eligible for this assignment: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington.
