Job Description

• Coordinate patient care delivery focusing on oncology patient populations using the nursing process.
• Assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses.
• Assist patients in transitioning through healthcare encounters without preventable complications or delays.
• Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel based on patient condition and staff competencies, following the Texas Nursing Practice Act.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 5 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Work week runs Wednesday through Tuesday.
• Overtime and holiday pay at 1.5x rate.
• Callback pay at 1.5x rate with a minimum of 2 hours per callback.
• No nonbillable orientation hours.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
• Local candidates (within 60 miles) are accepted.
