Registered Nurse - Ortho and Neuro Unit

Location: Amarillo, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Ortho and Neuro (35 beds)
Patient Population: Medical Surgical, Orthopedic, and Neuro
Shift: Days (36 or 48 hour option)
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
Float Requirement: Yes, to units of equal or lesser acuity
Block Scheduling: Case by case
Documentation System: EPIC (experience within last 6 months required)
Telemetry monitored in a centralized unit
Support Staff: Patient Care Technicians, Patient Transporters, House discharge nurse floating across departments
Scrub Color: Any, no logos
Local Traveler Rule: Must live at least 50 miles from facility to qualify

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Orthopedics experience
Neurology experience
Experience with EPIC (within last 6 months)
Certifications:
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- CPI
- CHEMO
- MAB
- NRP
- NIHSS
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC
