Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required

Job Description

• Perform upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomy, biopsy, PEG placement, banding, balloon dilation, Bravo, X-track procedures
• High-level disinfection and reprocessing of scopes and procedural equipment
• Work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff
• Daily procedure volume: 34-36 with 3 gastroenterologists
• Patient population includes ASA physical status classifications 1, 2, and 3

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
• Endoscopy Technician experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Certification required: SGNA or Certified Surgical Tech (CST)
• BLS certification required
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Strong scope reprocessing skills required

Licensure & Certifications

• Must hold appropriate certification as SGNA or CST for Surgical Tech
• BLS certification required

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification required
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
• Respiratory safety clearance required for travel candidates (annual)
• Fit mask test required for travel candidates (annual)
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS required
