Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM

Job Description

• Start Date: ASAP
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital with 356 staffed beds
• Charting System: Epic
• Parking: Free
• May be required to float to a nearby facility (San Pedro)
• Weekend Requirement: 1 Saturday shift every 6 weeks
• On-call Requirement: 1 call shift every 6 weeks
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
• Locals accepted; pending licenses not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Certifications (as applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - verify if required by unit
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - verify if required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - verify if required
• IV Certification - verify if required
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - verify if required
• NIH Stroke Certification - verify if required, renewed every 2 years
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) - verify if required
• Chemotherapy certification - verify if required
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification - verify if required (L&D only)

Competencies

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Competency exams required as applicable by specialty
• Color blind testing may be required on a unit basis

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with float policy acknowledging possible float to nearby facilities
• Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS
• Epic training modules required prior to or shortly after start date
• Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
• Background checks include SSN trace, death master index, sex offender registry, education verification, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and international background check if applicable
• State-specific background checks and attestations required if applicable (e.g., Washington, Oregon, Alaska)
