Job Description

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab - Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
• Responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing all EP procedures and implants.
• Average daily census: 4-8 EP procedures per day.
• Utilize Biosense Webster Mapping system in 2 EP rooms with 3 EP providers.
• Tasks include circulating, conscious sedation, scrubbing, and telemetry monitoring.
• Scrubs are provided.
• Unit accepts first-time travelers.

Schedule

• Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches.
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start.
• Primary source verification of Missouri RN license via NURSYS.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, PCP). Must be current throughout assignment.
• Fit mask test (N95 respirator) required and must be renewed annually.
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years).
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, with yearly TB questionnaire.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Sept 30 - Apr 1).
• Required facility-specific documents to be completed prior to start:

  • HIPAA Acknowledgement (annual).
  • Latex Allergy Questionnaire (annual).
  • Confidentiality Form (annual).
  • Regulatory Compliance Education and quiz (annual, must score 80%+).
  • Hand Hygiene Policy acknowledgment.
  • Fingernail Policy acknowledgment.
  • Dress Code Policy acknowledgment.
  • Orientation modules (approximately 16 hours) completed through online platform unless completed earlier in the calendar year.
• Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months).
• Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start.
