PACU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
On-call: Nights, weekends, and holidays included; typically 1 night per week
Scheduling: No block scheduling
Floating: May float to like acuities or lower if needed
Local candidates: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Driver's License

Schedule Expectations

Weekends and holidays are required

Additional Notes

Candidates will be reviewed/interviewed by the manager
RTO must be included with submission to be honored at offer
PACU is an 8-bay unit with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
