Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (may change based on manager needs)
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)

Job Summary

Perform radiology and cardiology imaging procedures as an X-Ray Technician.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Radiology Technologist
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background Check: Complete within 60 days of start; must cover last 7 years including all states/counties lived or worked in
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; no pending or instant-test placeholders allowed
• Immunizations & Health:

  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if positive, clear chest X-ray within 2 years plus annual TB questionnaire
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30)
• Physical Exam: Statement within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands of the job
• Fit Mask Test: 3M N-95 fit test within 1 year, must pass without limitations; facial hair must be shaved if it causes failure
• Photo for Badge: Recent (within 6 months) passport-style photo with strict guidelines (no hats, glasses with glare, or piercings visible)

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for certain units (may be relevant depending on assignment)
• Radiology Tech National Certification: ARRT certification required; MRI Techs require ARRT; CT Techs require ARRT with CT credentials
• Other Certifications: Not specifically required for this role but may be relevant depending on assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Scheduling and Work Conditions

• Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be outside 100-mile radius)

Additional Notes

• All Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission; no additions after offer
• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations may be required for contract renewals or extensions
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; Caribbean blue for RRTs; steel gray for surgical and OB techs; CT Techs may wear ceil blue top and pants with optional white lab coat or matching scrub jacket
• Confidentiality acknowledgment must be signed prior to start
