Background Checks & Verifications

Certifications & Competencies

- ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA or ARC approved)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Competency exams as applicable (medication test/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, unit-specific competency exams)
Other certifications may be required depending on position (e.g., CCRN, TNCC, NRP, EFM, CPI)

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear for work)
Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types accepted)
Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids)
