Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

  • Normal hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  • May be required to stay until 7:00 PM 1-2 times per month
  • Possible Saturday coverage from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• On-Call: None
• Licensure: Texas license required and must be in hand before start
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for ER, Interventional Radiology, Pediatrics, PACU, Allied roles
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required for Antepartum, L&D, Mother-Baby, NICU
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for ER
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Preferred for L&D (Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN)
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all clinical positions (not required for Allied)
• Tech Certification Verification: Required within 30 days of start; specific certifications depend on role (e.g., ARRT, NBSTSA, CDR, ARMDS)
• State License Verification: Required within 30 days of start for Allied/Non-RN candidates
• NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days of start for RN, LPN/LVN, AP

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 10-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace and all locations lived/worked
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Check within 30 days prior to start
• Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Checks within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification required for Cath Lab and CVOR roles
• Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Drug Screening Consent, TB Questionnaire, and Compliance Checklist must be reviewed and signed prior to start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen upon arrival
• Flu Vaccination or Agency Declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Copy of resume/application required
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Age-specific and general competency exams required within 1 year of start
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required and updated annually

This position offers a structured schedule with no on-call duties and requires a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in Radiology/Cardiology. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must hold a valid Texas license and meet all certification, background, and health requirements prior to starting the contract.
