Overview
- Location: La Jolla, California
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with Cerner
Work Expectations
- Hard start date required: 10/05 or 10/18
- May be required to float to like units or lower-acuity units across the organization, excluding the ED
- Must work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week cycle
- Must work at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend
- Block schedule may be considered for Friday/Saturday/Sunday
Compliance and Health Requirements
- Proof of W-4 on file
- 7-year criminal background check
- HHS/OIG check
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- N95 fit test within 1 year of start
- Tdap vaccination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or signed declination
- Drug screen within 1 year of start
- Flu vaccination or declination
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Additional Notes
- Scrub color is not restricted
- Facility-provided scrubs are available for OR and L&D, but this role is ICU
- Epic/Cerner experience of at least 6 months is expected for RN travelers
- Home base is provided, but floating may still be required based on census
