Job Overview

Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Hours per week: 36
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday requirement: Holiday rotation
Floating: Floats within scope to pediatric units in the children’s hospital

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
Critical Care Float experience within the last year
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Experience

ECMO experience
CRRT experience

Work Conditions

Patient ratios: 1:2 or 1:3
Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, depending on unit needs
All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and is subject to unit approval
Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks

Additional Notes

Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs from June through November
