Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN
Job Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Location: Charleston, South Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: Holiday rotation
- Floating: Floats within scope to pediatric units in the children’s hospital
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Experience
- ECMO experience
- CRRT experience
Work Conditions
- Patient ratios: 1:2 or 1:3
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, depending on unit needs
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and is subject to unit approval
- Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks
Additional Notes
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season, which runs from June through November
