Location

• Saint Paul, Minnesota
• Unit: ED MH suite
• Closed observation suite in CK4800
• Adult locked acute mental health unit with 24 beds

Assignment Overview

• Behavioral Health RN caring for high-acuity mental health patients
• Stationed in the ED MH suite
• Acute care adults ages 18-65, with occasional older patients
• Average length of stay is 7-9 days, with some outliers up to six months

Schedule

• Day or night shift: 3x12 hours
• Every other weekend required
• First-timers accepted
• Locals accepted
• Pending state license accepted
• No on-call
• No floating within scope to meet facility needs
• No floating to sister facilities
• Block schedule not accommodated

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Behavioral Health (2 years of experience)
• Behavioral Health experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Adult patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with neurodiverse patients, specifically non-verbal autism
• Experience with ADL cares

Additional Notes

• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• Navy blue scrubs
• Charting: Excellian/Epic
• Parking is available at a flat rate of $0.55/hour
