Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Ambulatory

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel Clinical Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts (6:00 am–6:30 pm or 6:00 pm–6:30 am), 36 hours per week

Job Summary

Provide nursing care to assigned patients under direct supervision of an RN or assigned supervisor.
Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist in patient assessment and care planning.
Participate as a member of the healthcare team and accept delegation from RN/supervisor and provider.
Deliver care according to patient care plans, organizational policies, and principles of relationship-based care.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and instruct.
May participate in committees or quality improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN/LVN license in Minnesota
Graduation from a Practical Nursing program, or one year of LPN experience if the program graduation was over two years ago
Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ambulatory Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Additional Information

This is a travel assignment in an ambulatory care setting.
Shift length and schedule require 12-hour shifts with a total of 36 hours per week.
