Job Opportunity: RN Procedural - Electrophysiology Lab
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse - Direct Care
Job Description
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a specialty area focused on electrophysiology. Core responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned group of patients
- Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
- Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
- Administering medications and managing IV infusions and blood products
- Delivering competent patient care and communicating care plans to patients and families
- Overseeing treatment by technicians and other service providers
- Delegating tasks to support staff
- Making referrals regarding patient care needs
- Performing other assigned duties
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in the specialty area
- May require completion of orientation and ability to function independently in the specialty prior to assignment
Education Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher (preferred)
Certifications & Licensure
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care
- Some computer skills
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees

Everyone is pretty friendly, good location , Oklahoma City is a fun place to stay, you get to make your own schedule
Cons
No techs at night, tough 3:1/4:1 ratios, hem/onc but open to all types of patients (also an earring disorder unit now), older facility and rooms are TINY
