Job Opportunity: Cath Lab RN

Overview

Location: Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, Pomona, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: 4 ten-hour shifts per week (0730-1800)
On Call: 8-10 on-call shifts per month, including one weekend

Dress Code: Scrubs provided by the facility

Qualifications

Licensure: Valid California RN License
Education: High School and College
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Preferred
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - Required
- NIH Stroke Certification - Required
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - Required
- MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) - Required
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience

Major Functions

Experience in monitoring and circulating various case types, including:
- Coronary Angiograms
- PTCA (Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty)
- EVAR (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair)
- TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
- Peripheral Angiograms
- EP Ablations, Watchman, ICD, Bi-V ICD, Pacemakers
Work in the Holding Room (Pre-Post Procedure area) 1-2 times a month

Additional Requirements

Health Documents:
- Physical Exam (within 12 months)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
- Drug Testing (negative 10 panel drug screen within 30 days of start)
- Immunization records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccination documentation or declination
Background Check: Required within 30 days prior to start, covering the last 7 years
References: 2 professional references required

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.

Cons

DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
