Medical Technician

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Charleston, South Carolina
Evenings, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Weekend and holiday rotation
No call
Does not float between service lines
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Medical Technologist with 1 year of experience
Medical Technologist experience within the last year
ASCP certification
Associate's degree in medical technology or a relevant medical or scientific field
Experience on the chemistry bench

Preferred Qualifications

Hematology and/or Chemistry experience

Schedule

Works 2 full weekends in a row, then 4 weekends off

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

Proof of 2 clinical references
Complete application/resume
Annual background check
Education verification required
Fit test within 90 days prior to start and annually thereafter
Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Annual TB questionnaire
Drug screen within 90 days of start
Flu vaccine documentation or approved exemption required before start
COVID vaccination documentation or declination if not vaccinated
Physical exam
Color blind testing
Competency exam
Orientation modules must be completed before start
Badge photo required before start
South Carolina state exclusion list required
