Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Greensboro, North Carolina
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends
- Float required as needed across all facilities in the system
- 13-week contract
- First-time travelers are accepted
Unit
- 3 West is a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department with a primary focus on medical neurological patients
- Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) provides monitoring surveillance for patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Neuro patients
- Driver's License
- Experience with CPAP
- Experience with BiPAP
- Experience with neuro checks
- Experience caring for CVA (cerebrovascular accident) patients
- Experience with Yale Swallowing screen
- Experience with TR band management
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Charge RN experience
Clinical Skills / Experience
- CVA
- External CPAP/BiPAP
- TR band
- Yale Swallowing screen
Scheduling / Workflow
- Staff is scheduled in 6-week periods through a self-assisted schedule system
