Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Washington, DC
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day or night, 3x12 hours
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend; blocked weekend scheduling may be available
• On-call: not required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Pending license accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
• No overtime until after 48 hours
• Floating required within scope between PICU, CVPICU, and NICU
• Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if floated to NICU, up to 1:3

Specialty Experience

• 2+ years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience
• Strong PICU experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in District of Columbia
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• 2 years of Critical Care Float experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• CHEMO - Chemotherapy
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• CVPICU experience
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience

• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

• Flu exemption forms if requesting an exemption
