Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Illinois
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
TNCC
Experience working with Adult patients
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience
Experience with Cerner

Clinical Skills Needed

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
12-lead EKG acquisition
Blood product administration
Phlebotomy
Starting IVs
Continuous IV sedation
Emergency medications
IV vasopressors
Procedural sedation administration
CVA care
Spinal cord injury care
Traumatic brain injury care
Splint application and management
Abdominal pain, asthma, head injury, abuse identification/reporting, infections, poison ingestion, respiratory infections, seizures, skin disorders
Acute psychosis, drug overdose, violent behavior management, suicidal patient care
Chest tube insertion/management
Intubation
