Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Torrance, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Recovery of cardiac caths, PCIs, PFO, CTOs, and EP procedures including pacemakers, BiV, AICD, Cryo
• On-call requirement: 1-2 nights per week
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks
• No floating required
• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• First-time travelers accepted

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 1 year of experience in ICU, ER, or PACU
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Harassment Prevention Training Certificate
• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license at time of submission
• Two supervisor/manager references within one year of start (one can be from Charge RN)
• Current resume or application including all cities and states lived/worked in for the past 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Background checks and verifications as per standard travel healthcare requirements
• Compliance with facility-specific policies including safety, confidentiality, attendance, and flu vaccination policies
• Fit mask test within one year of start (specific mask types required)
• Drug testing within one year of start and updated annually
• Immunization or immunity documentation for Tdap, TB, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination form required
• Flu vaccine required for the 2025-2026 season with deadlines for exemptions

• Pending license is not accepted; license must be active at time of submission
• No floating required for this position
• On-call and weekend shifts are part of the schedule
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
