Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Home Health

Location: San Ramon, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide occupational therapy services in a home health setting covering multiple areas including Fremont, Castro Valley, Hayward, Oakland, Berkeley, and surrounding cities.
  • Work 8-hour day shifts.
  • Patient ratio is 1:1, with a typical caseload of 5-6 patients per day.
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (note: guaranteed hours not applied during first 2 weeks for ramp-up, holidays, or time off).
  • Weekend patient visits are optional to meet productivity goals.
  • On-call is not required.
  • Local candidates are accepted.
  • Own transportation is required; occasional travel radius may exceed 50 miles.
  • Timely communication and documentation are essential; documentation tools will be provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Occupational therapy experience within the last year.
  • Experience in a Home Health setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Information

  • Attire: Any color scrubs.
  • Parking: Free.
  • Mileage reimbursement follows IRS standard.
  • Compliance process takes approximately 2 weeks before start date.
  • Documentation and communication skills are critical.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Professional references and work history verification related to the profession.

  • Productivity standards and patient visit expectations are clearly defined.
