Job Description / Responsibilities

• Administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Assessing and monitoring clinical status of patients
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of medications used in Cath Lab
• Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support
• Communicating effectively with patient care team, patients, and patients’ families

• EP mapping and ablation
• Vascular diagnostic and intervention
• Interventional radiology

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Valid RN license in Washington
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Work Schedule

• Shift: 07:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Weekend rotation: No (weekends covered by call only)
• On-call:

  • Weekend: Approximately every 4th weekend, Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
  • Weekday: 1 call per week from end of shift until 7:00 AM next morning

• Scrub color: Navy (provided)
• Facility: 226-bed, non-profit community hospital with 2 Cath Lab procedure rooms and 5 holding bays for pre/post care
• Floating: None
• Prior travel experience: Not required (consider first-time travelers: No)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Compliance / Documentation Requirements (examples)

• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Annual Core Competencies
• Flu documentation (2025-26)
• Criminal background check

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation

This position is suitable for experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RNs with at least 2 years of specialty experience, comfortable with on-call responsibilities but no weekend shifts, and who hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
