Job Opportunity: Technologist (Radiology)

Work Schedule

• Day shift
• Approximately 36 hours per week
• May require availability for OR cases

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic x-ray and computerized tomography (CT) procedures under physician supervision.
• Conduct all types of CT studies, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures such as radiography, fluoroscopy, portables, and c-arms.
• Use sterile technique as required.
• Operate radiology and CT equipment, including PACS.
• Review patient history and document studies accurately.
• Provide care and imaging for patients of all ages while maintaining confidentiality.
• Coordinate exams within the department and with other hospital staff.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report issues.
• Meet on-call responsibilities as assigned.
• Administer drugs and biologicals relevant to job functions per procedures.
• Participate in departmental orientation, education, meetings, and projects.
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital experience in both CT and X-ray.
• ARRT certification in CT and Radiography (R).
• State of Nebraska Radiography License.
• BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network).

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of radiologic and CT positioning, technical factors, and radiation safety.
• Familiarity with CT non-invasive and invasive procedures.
• Ability to operate radiologic and CT equipment and related computer systems.
• Venipuncture skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to perform under stressful and emergency situations.
• Ability to care for diverse patients across the age continuum.
