Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT and X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of hospital experience in both CT and X-ray for a travel assignment in a hospital radiology department.
Details
- Hospital radiology department setting
- Performs both CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures, including fluoroscopy, portables, and C-arm
- CT procedures include diagnostic and interventional studies
- May be required to assist with OR cases
- Uses Epic EMR and PACS
- 4x12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
- On-call required every fourth weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) and one weeknight per week
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital CT experience and 1 year of hospital X-ray experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required
- Nebraska Radiologic License required if applicable
- Proficiency with PACS and Epic EMR
- Skill in venipuncture technique
- Ability to perform procedures across the full patient age continuum
- 2 professional references required: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the position's specialty within the last 3 years
Additional Information
- Performs all types of CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures including radiography, fluoroscopy, portables, and C-arm studies
- Responsible for proper patient positioning, technical factor selection, radiation safety, and sterile technique as required
- Administers contrast and other drugs/biologicals pertinent to imaging procedures per facility protocol
- Coordinates exams across departments and communicates with medical staff, patients, and families to ensure quality care
- 12-hour non-billable orientation period upon start
- Candidates must not have worked for Bryan Health within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible ā local candidates are not accepted
- Solid colored scrubs required
