Physical Therapist - Inpatient

Location: Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Job Summary

Responsible for evaluating and assessing the needs of referred patients and formulating treatment plans. Provides therapy services as defined in treatment plans and works cooperatively with medical staff, case managers, social workers, and adjusters. May supervise physical therapy assistants and aides. Requires creativity and latitude in performing a variety of tasks. Must be competent to meet age-specific needs of the assigned unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services according to treatment plans
• Collaborate with medical staff, case managers, social workers, and adjusters
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides as needed
• Perform various related duties as assigned
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally accredited school of physical therapy
• Current Idaho Physical Therapy License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in inpatient-acute physical therapy settings

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to maintain standing and/or sitting positions for extended periods
• Use of typical clinical equipment

• Prior travel experience is not specified as required
• Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) during day shift
