Registered Nurse Patient Navigator

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

The Registered Nurse Patient Navigator uses perioperative-specific clinical experience to guide surgery patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process. Responsibilities include performing pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients and establishing positive, respectful relationships with patients and their families. This is an office-based role and does not involve bedside care.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Minimum 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience and/or medical/surgical nursing experience
Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with at least 1 year of recent experience
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Orthopedics nursing experience
