Job Opportunity: Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) / Medical Lab Technician (MLT)

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 20 weeks

Job Description

Seeking a traveling Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist) or Technician to join the laboratory team. Responsibilities include:

Collecting and receiving specimens for testing
Performing chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, and other medical laboratory tests
Operating manual and automated lab equipment to analyze specimens

Requirements

Education & Certification

Medical Technician (ASCP):
- Associate degree
- Current Medical Technician Registration by ASCP or AMT
Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist) (ASCP):
- Bachelor's Degree
- Current Medical Technology Registration by ASCP or AMT

Experience

Minimum 5 years microbiology plate reading and/or microbiology supervisory experience (highest required specialty experience)
At least 2 years experience as a Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist) or Technician
Must have experience with Microbiology and Meditech systems

Other Requirements

Flu vaccine required, no exemptions allowed
Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts, weekdays only, no weekends or on-call

Additional Information

Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
