Unit

• OR
• 9 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid
• Average of 35–45 cases per day

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• 2–3 years of experience in the specialty
• 2–3 previous travel assignments
• Ortho experience
• Experience passing the arms in and out for Robotics
• Epic familiarity

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS
• Scrubbing

Schedule

• Varied start times, primarily day/evening
• No self-scheduling for travelers
• Block scheduling may be allowed if it meets unit needs
• Shifts listed include 7:00–5:30, 7:00–3:00, 9:00–5:00, 11:00–7:00, 3:00–11:00, and 11:00–11:00

Call

• One weeknight on-call shift per week, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, rotation varies
• One weekday call shift every 2 weeks, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM or 7:00 PM–11:00 PM
• One weekend 24-hour on-call shift per month, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Holiday call as needed
• 30-minute call response time

Floating

• Outpatient surgery

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided
• Unit orientation: 3 shifts / 1 week
• RNs may circulate cases if needed
• RN scrubbing is a plus, not required
• Night shift RN may be the only RN with 2 techs
• All surgical cases except CVOR and L&D cover C-sections
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Only 1 submission at a time across the WVU system
• Up to 2 candidates per opening
• Any background hits must be disclosed at submission
