Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday
• Self-scheduling is allowed, but schedule changes may be made to balance unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Dakota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• CVICU (2 years of experience)
• CVICU experience within the last year
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Intermediate Care experience
• Experience in Charge roles
• Experience titrating vasopressor drips
• NIHSS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Setting

• 32-bed unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Floating may be required to all critical care departments in Fargo, including 5AB, Intermediate ICU, and Broadway ICU
• May also float to med surg units as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Care for 1-3 critically ill patients
• Manage critically ill neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients
• Manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips
• Assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests

Orientation

• 32 total hours of orientation in the first week
• Includes hospital orientation, unit orientation, Intermediate ICU orientation, and Broadway ICU orientation

Additional Notes

• Travelers living within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Local travel rate applies for travelers living 60 to 80 miles away
• Interview times should be provided with submission
• Manager will interview directly before offering
• If the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health, the submission must note it, and there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
