NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Indiana

Job Details

• Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days or Nights
• Hours: 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
• Unit: Level III NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
• Bed Size: 31 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
• Float: May float to age-appropriate Pediatrics or PICU units
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation

• Mandatory attendance for all 7 days of orientation
• Week 1: Monday through Friday, 8-hour days (7am - 7pm)
• Week 2: Monday and Tuesday, 8-hour days

Job Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Level III NICU
• Utilize equipment such as EPIC for computer charting and Pyxis for medication administration

Additional Notes

• Call-off or cancellation allowed up to 24 hours before shift for the 13-week assignment
• Non-billable orientation hours: 8 hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)
• Clinicians returning within 12 months of their last worked date are not eligible for non-billable orientation hours

No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position.
